“Our Community – Origin Stories”

Let’s share! This year, we will focus on “our community” and the realistic needs of our profession. This umbrella theme will allow us to explore a wide variety of topics including interventions, populations, proposal writing, self-care and more.

I am adding some focus to this theme and looking to hear your origin stories.Why did you choose to study Music Therapy? What are some of your experiences of further training, research or internships? We want to hear about how you have created your own work in this dynamic field and possibly work with some unusual populations we have not heard of before!

Do you have someone or something in mind that might fit our new “Spotlight” column? This can be a music therapist that you know who is doing wonderful things or a specific practice that is happening in our community. If you have any ideas but are not sure please feel free to email me and we can chat!

This issue will be an online only issue, an idea we are trying out.
