10 Music Therapists share 10 golden Music Therapy interventions in short interactive presentations. Speed Sharing for Music Therapists, Educators and Parents who need ideas now!
In partnership with VISI, the second annual Music Therapy Symposium for Children and Youth was held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Frederic Wood Theatre at UBC. Ten music therapists presented their "golden" intervention and a therapeutic song to over seventy-five participants. Beautiful raffle prizes went home with five lucky winners, and Creative Music Therapy Solutions was on hand with musical instruments and relevant books. The day was videotaped and it is hoped that this will culminate in a DVD that will be for sale through the MTABC website soon.
We gratefully acknowledge our sponsors and donors to the raffle: Creative Music Therapy Solutions, Westside Music, Tom Lee Music on Granville Street, Empire Music and Long and McQuade in North Vancouver.
MTABC acknowledges the Symposium planning committee: Esther Thane, Katherine Deane, Sheila Lee and Susan Summers. In addition, thanks to Stephen Williams, our videographer, and the many volunteers, presenters, and supporters of the Symposium day. Many thanks to VISI’s production manager, Kemuel Wong, Artistic Director, Rena Sharon and the staff at the Frederic Wood Theatre for their generous support.
Stay tuned for the third annual MTABC Symposium June, 2011!
