A Certified Music Therapist member (MTA) is someone who has achieved certification with the CAMT

The Music Therapy Intern category is for those individuals who are actively involved in an internship or have completed their internship, graduated,  and are seeking MTA Certification.

There is a two year limit on this category. Once you graduate you may stay in the Music Therapy Intern category for up to one more year, until the CBMT exam is written and MTA status is achieved. Students will move to this Music Therapy Intern category when their internship begins and move to Associate if they do not receive their MTA Certification within those two years. Music Therapy Intern members should notify MTABC when they graduate with their degree, in order to receive upgraded membership benefits.

MTABC offers our members complimentary upgrades

This means that if you need to upgrade your membership at any point throughout the year (ie: Associate or Music Therapy Intern to MTA), you will not be charged the extra fee, but will still be able to enjoy all the benefits of the upgraded category. Come November, you would simply sign-up under the category that applies to you at that time.

Membership Fee Refunds

MTABC offers a 30-day money back guarantee from the date of payment to cancel your membership with the Music Therapy Association of B.C. with the refund amount based on your most recent membership(s) payment. Refund applications for cancelling membership will not be accepted after the 30-day grace period.

Please note: if your contact or job information changes throughout the year, please remember to update it on our website by logging into the Secure Member’s Area and clicking on “Edit Profile”. You will no longer need to fill out a registration form each year, making the renewal process much easier.

Membership Renewal Deadline: November 30th
