Aisling (Ash-ling) Ryan-Aylward is an accredited Music Therapist (MTA) working in the Cowichan Valley and Mid-Island. Her practice focuses on providing individualized therapeutic services to adults and older adults living with Dementia and complex care challenges within community care, residential care, and end of life care settings. Sessions involve a variety of interventions including singing, instrumental improvisation, song writing, active listening, group discussion, relaxation, and lyric analysis. Using a humanistic approach, each session is tailored to the strengths and needs of each individual to facilitate a successful and meaningful therapeutic experience. Individual and group sessions available, as well as adapted music lessons. Aisling has completed her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, Guided Imagery of Music Level 1, and her ATCL in Speech & Drama.
