Angela has worked as a music therapist for almost 20 years serving a variety of people all over Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Most of her work is in the area of mental health and senior’s care but she also has significant experience with adults with physical and developmental disabilities. She now resides in South Surrey where she is a vegetable and flower farmer as well as a music therapist. Angela has witnessed the power of music to reduce anxiety, provide meaningful group and individual experiences, increase social engagement, promote physical movement through instrument playing and create spaces of connection and beauty. She has seen that the benefit of music therapy in palliative care is invaluable. She works with individuals, groups and families. Angela most enjoys working with groups and the energy that is enlivened when music is present in those groups.
