
Emily Brown is an Accredited Music Therapist (MTA), with the Canadian Association of Music Therapy (CAMT), and is the owner of Buzzing Bee Music Therapy Ltd. Originally from Calgary AB, Emily obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Capilano University, in the spring of 2017.
Emily grew up singing, playing piano, and performing. Her passion eventually drew her towards a profession in which her love for music could influence the well-being of others.
Since obtaining her MT Bachelor’s Degree, Emily has worked with individuals of various abilities, that range from 0-105 years old. She specializes in services for individuals who live with physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges, as well as those who are experiencing grief.
Emily works closely with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), in which she runs weekly programming for individuals with vision loss.
Additionally, in January 2019, she obtained her certification for NICU Music Therapy through the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy, in Louisville Kentucky.
Emily is based out of North Burnaby British Columbia and serves clients in Burnaby, Vancouver, and other parts of the Lower Mainland. She enjoys working with diverse populations and offers services to people of all ages and abilities through Buzzing Bee Music Therapy.
