In partnership with VISI, the third annual Music Therapy Symposium for Children and Youth was held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Roy Barnett Recital Hall at UBC. Eight music therapists from Victoria, Edmonton, Kamloops, Pender Island and the Lower Mainland presented their “golden” intervention and a therapeutic song to fifty participants. Beautiful raffle prizes went home with eight lucky winners, and Music Therapy Suite was on hand with musical instruments and relevant books

MTABC acknowledges the Symposium planning committee: Esther Thane, Katherine Deane, Sheila Lee and Susan Summers. In addition, thanks to Sheila Harry, our videographer, and the many volunteers, presenters, and supporters of the Symposium day. Many thanks to VISI’s production manager, Kemuel Wong, and Artistic Director, Rena Sharon for their generous support.

Stay tuned for the third annual MTABC Symposium June, 2013!
